In January we started working for our new client based in the Thames Valley, providing FM services. Shortly after the contract commenced, our client asked us to look at a number of small projects to improve their office environment and to assist them in their aim to be more environmentally friendly. The client planned to move to electric vehicles and FMS were asked to install vehicle charging points to facilitate charging of the company vehicles on site. We also replaced the office lighting with LED panels and other low energy fittings to reduce energy consumption. This was part of a general office upgrade that we undertook to refresh the space. The installation of a Billi tap in the kitchen has meant that van deliveries of water bottles to site have been now been cancelled. All small changes, but everyone helps with the overall aim to reduce the environmental impact of the office.
